I live in Opossum Bay and it’s often hard to get tradies to quote because of the distance from Hobart. Distance was no problem for Pelhams and (in spite of distance) they always turned up when they said they would. Scott Pelham was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive, communicative and upfront in advising the lead time before he could get to our job. On top of that he was very competitively priced. Compared to others I tried to deal with who wouldn't return calls, flatly refused to consider the job because they were too busy or quoted ridiculous prices because they weren't overly interested in the work, Scott was a fresh of breath air. The job was done quickly, efficiently and with a minimum of fuss (even when we changed our mind on the paint colour at the last minute!). After trying to deal with other painters, I wouldn't want to deal with anyone else now. Scott knows the true meaning of customer service and just doesn't pay it lip service.

I asked Scott to paint the exterior of a house that had multiple stories and surfaces and was in poor condition. There was a tight time frame for the work to be completed, and it was done in late winter. He started on the day promised and finished on time. His employees were competent, friendly and conscientious, they stayed on the job all day (unlike many contractors who leave to buy lunch and morning tea). They sanded work back to timber when it was necessary and used high quality paints (Haynes and Taspaint) and fillers. I have already recommended them to 2 other potential clients.
